4) CASE STUDY:

Prithvi Executes Microfilm Scanning Order.

History:

Domex Technical Info Pvt.Ltd. had received the order for creation of various types of database for Pharmaceutical manufacturer. The original data was on 16mm microfilms. The density of the microfilms was too bad. The requirement was half million-microfilm scanning in two months. M/s. Domex Technical Info Pvt.Ltd approached Prithvi for quality microfilm scanning.

The Challenge:

The microfilms were very old and used. The job involved scanning of microfilms by adjusting focus literally for each & every frame to achieve the best possible quality.

The Process:

After understanding the challenge Prithvi decided to scan the microfilms on Minolta Scanners & accordingly, one MS3000 & one PS6000 were allocated for this job. There are 6 operators were working in three shifts & scanning the roll frame-by-frame basis.

Result:

The total job was executed in 42 days with ‘NIL’ rejection.

Driving License project of AP state Transport department (RTA offices):
This purpose of this project was to digitize 6 million Driving Licenses and Registration books for Regional Transport Authority of Andhra Pradesh, India (Govt. Of India). The total scans in the project were more than 10 millions. This project involved scanning porting and cropping of driving license and registrations. Creation of metadata for database of driving licenses and vehicle registrations.  Scanning of approximately 1,00,00,000 (1 crore) records with 100 people working in three shifts, simultaneously in 29 locations across AP.

Digital Library Project of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam: The project involves digitizing the entire collection of photographs negatives, which dates back to several years. The project involves digitizing and indexing them for easy retrieval.

Digital Library Project of National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad (NAARM): The Project involved Digitization of all Reports and Publications available at NAARM Library for accessing through web and Intranet.

Digitization (Scanning And Data Entry) of Application Forms For Cell One, BSNL (AP Circle) (All SSAs): The project involves digitization of all postpaid (Cell One) and prepaid (excel) application forms. The Digitization includes scanning, processing, cropping, indexing of forms and data entry for developing a retrieving mechanism for the same. The volume of the scanning and data entry forms is more than a million.
