History:

India is country that had many rulers. India had many independent kings, who ruled many parts, and hence they had their records in different parts of the country. The Scholars, Editors or even
Common Citizens require these data to understand the culture, heritage and the lifestyle. Prithvi approached the Director of Archives, Government of Maharashtra for the right solutions.

The Challenge:

The job was very massive and the documents were at different locations in the country. It was decided that the job would be executed in the phase manner. Prithvi started microfilming of these priceless, originals that were from 1883 to 1903, which were in Marathi-Modi language. The documents were at Saraswati Mahal Library, Thanjavur. These documents needed utmost care since the paper had become lifeless.

The Process & Solutions:

In order to achieve the ultimate goal of digitizing these documents and to have a backup archival copy and considering that the records were at Saraswati Mahal Library, Tanjavur. Prithvi’s expert team discussed the execution methodology with Archives Department Mahrashtra the Administrative officer of Saraswati Mahal Library, since this was the joint project signed by both the departments. The best solution adopted was that the records be microfilmed first by using high quality full transparent polythine sheets and microfilm the pages one by one . The quality of the microfilm had undergone the strict ISI \ BS Tests & there were 0 % rejections.
